Ir Dr Ken Chan completed his Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science degrees at the University of Hong Kong and obtained his PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With a career spanning over two decades in the power and electrical industry, Ir Dr Chan possesses extensive engineering experience, covering areas such as engineering design, power systems project management, transmission substation design, protection scheme design, earth mat design, and engineering procurement. He is also proficient in the construction, operation and maintenance of distribution power networks (LV and 11kV) and transmission power networks (132kV and 400kV).

In the field of engineering consulting, Ir Dr Chan offers a diverse range of services, including distribution network protection coordination studies, load flow studies, harmonics analysis, and lightning risk assessments. Additionally, he provides AI powered condition monitoring solutions for electrical equipment, which play a crucial role in preventive maintenance, enhancing electrical safety, and improving asset management performance.

Ir Dr Chan's expertise extends into the field of energy management. He is a Registered Energy Assessor, Certified Energy Manager, BEAM Pro and Retro Commissioning Professional. He delivers energy management-related services including energy audits and retro commissioning, as well as AI powered energy saving solutions that support building owners in achieving their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and carbon reduction targets.

Ir Dr Chan's commitment to the engineering industry and his advocacy for innovation have earned him significant recognition. The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) awarded him the Young Engineer of the Year Award in 2015 and the Merit of Innovation Award in 2009, underscoring his contributions and leadership in the field.
