RTHK "Climate Watcher" Interview: From Research to Real-World Application—Driving Green Transformation with AI

Frankly, as a startup established only two years ago, without the ongoing funding and network support from the Cyberport incubation program, our AI solutions might not have been able to move so quickly from the laboratory to practical applications in hospitals, shopping malls, and even key facilities like the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and the Kai Tak district cooling system.


Our core technology originates from years of research achievements at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, led by a team of professors, transforming academic research into practical applications that truly benefit society. Meanwhile, the professional recognition and awards from the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers have been a great encouragement to us, proving that this path of using technology to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction is viable.


Today, on the program "Climate Watcher", what I want to say most is not how advanced the technology is, but rather, "Thank you for your support"—thank you to Cyberport, thank you to PolyU, thank you to the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and thank you to every partner and user for their trust.


We will continue our efforts to use technology to help everyone save electricity while reducing Hong Kong's carbon footprint. We hope to have more opportunities in the future to bring these technologies into the daily lives of more citizens, working together to make Hong Kong a greener and smarter city.
